Soa, meaning “beautiful” in Malagasy, meets Tigra, inspired by the Indonesian tiger in tribute to the Indonesian seafarers who sailed towards the Great Island more than 4,000 years ago. From this story comes Soa Tigra, a living emblem of Madagascar's nature and beauty.
Based in Majunga, on Madagascar's north-west coast, Soa Tigra works with a predominantly female team, where everyone benefits from fair working conditions in an atmosphere of solidarity, creativity and respect.

Each creation is an invitation to surround yourself with beauty. From this world came Angelina Art, a branch of Soa Tigra entirely dedicated to fashion. While Soa Tigra dresses the home, Angelina Art dresses people: collections of bags, hats and fashion accessories that bring the spirit of Malagasy craftsmanship into everyday life. They share the same exacting standards and love of skilled handiwork, with an energy focused on style, elegance and confidence. Driven by a deep passion for materials and craft, she creates original handmade pieces combining natural raffia fibres and reclaimed fabrics. Her creations celebrate responsible beauty, where creativity, elegance and commitment meet.

At the heart of our workshop, we preserve traditional Malagasy craftsmanship through techniques passed down through generations. Behind every Soa Tigra creation lies the precision of an ancestral gesture: weaving entirely by hand, fibre by fibre, and natural dyes inspired by Madagascar's colours, chosen for their gentle appearance, authenticity and respect for nature.
